Care & Maintenance

Caring for your furniture

Care and maintenance of your new piece of aviation-inspired furniture is not different from that of regular furniture. All our products are indoor-rated. Using them outdoors may cause damage to the finishes.

Wood

The wood surfaces used in our products are solid wood. There may be colour and texture differences in the products. This difference is due to the natural variations in the wood.

Solid wood will expand and contract with changes in humidity in the home. The extent of the gapping will vary as humidity conditions change. Expansion and contraction cause these gaps and are a natural characteristic of solid wood.

These products are sealed with polyurethane.

  • Clean using a damp microfibre cloth
  • Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar for additional cleaning
  • Do not use chemicals (acetone, alcohol, bleach, etc)
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive objects

Glass

The glass in our products is tempered. It is more resistant to everyday wear and tear than standard annealed glass, but can still be scratched. Sharp metal objects, sand, or grit will scratch the glass if dragged across the surface.

  • Clean the glass surface with a soft, lint-free cloth
  • Spray mild, non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar on a cloth instead of directly on the glass
  • Wipe gently and dry immediately
  • Do not use chemicals (acetone, alcohol, bleach, etc)
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive objects

Metal

Our products contain various alloys, including aluminum and Inconel.

Most of our metal surfaces are clear-coated, powder-coated, or painted to be more durable and make upkeep easier. For all coated surfaces:

  • Clean using a damp microfibre cloth
  • Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner or vinegar for additional cleaning
  • Do not use chemicals (acetone, alcohol, bleach, etc)
  • Do not use sharp or abrasive objects
