Crafted from authentic aircraft components, this table collection begins with the Tailpipe Assembly from the Convair. This component forms part of the aircraft engine’s exhaust system.
With each flight, these stainless-steel parts are heated by engine exhaust and cooled by altitude, creating cycles of thermal stress that naturally etched character into the metal. Over time, this process draws a warm bronze patina from within the steel. The result is a finish that is never uniform—each piece reveals a unique history, a visual record of countless flights.
For each table, the tailpipe section is cut down to size, and our technicians expertly polish the stiffeners back to their original stainless-steel finish. These stiffeners are used to enhance the structural rigidity and integrity of the exhaust system and add an appealing detail to the table base.
