Originally designed for the Convair aircraft, this Wheel Well Junction Box once served as a sealed electrical enclosure housed within the landing gear bay—engineered to protect and organize electrical wiring, sensors, and actuator signals within a compact, high-stress environment.

Rediscovered decades later in our warehouse—still brand new after 50 years, untouched and preserved in their original boxes—these components offered the perfect foundation for a piece that blends industrial heritage with modern design.

To complete the modern-inspired aesthetic, we added an unadorned turned wooden leg; allowing the character of the junction box to shine while introducing warmth and balance to the piece.

The result is a functional accent table that captures the rugged ingenuity of aviation engineering

  • Clean with a damp cloth/sponge and mild soap cleaner. Dry with a dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive and chemical materials such as sandpaper, alcohol, bleach for cleaning the surfaces.
